The balloons mentioned in the poem are a metaphor for people. It talks about the fears I care of being judged by people.

thousand balloons on the ground,

balloons only i can see,

saying so much without making a sound,

holding me back, i wanna be free

im constantly worrying,

wondering,

if I’ll get the validation I seek,

do they know im ‘just a freak’?

pop them all at once,

i don’t know them, they don’t know me,

i don’t matter to them, why should they,

to me?

letting the air finally escape,

their true colors finally showing,

some blue, others red, raging

with that, im done caging,

myself with worries,

clear my brain,

they’re no longer there,

am i going insane?
